Greetings, tis I Rob (otherwise known as El Byron).

I was around from the very first days of The Glass Gods, initially christened FlickerTrip with my compadre John Egginton(tm), we'd been in bands together for a few years but nothing seemed to work so we decided to venture out on our own and try to build a band out of lego and blu-tac. I was Jacks boss at the time and I told him that if he didn't join my band I'd fire him, so he joined the band... parts of that might not be true, but which parts?!

I've been playing bass, or at least, my own variation of playing the bass since I was about 14, in a few school bands and then some later projects, TGG being the only one that I can safely say I'd take a sword in a pancreas for.

Oh, I also love trying to make voice noises, but my voices noises are perhaps not of the most exquisite variety, so I potter around in my niche golden-armchair of backing vocalist.

Equipment:

• Cream-coloured Yamaha BB314 passive 4-string Bass. My pride and joy!
• Traben something-or-other active 4-string bass. I hate it. it doesn't work without a 9-volt battery!
• Korg Pitch-Black Chromatic Tuner. Invented by God and his team of 12 experts.
• Ashdown EB15-180 EVO II 180Watt Combo Amp. We have disagreements, but we always work them out...
• Strings. Whatever brand or guage I'm feeling the vibe of at the time.
